BEST OF RE/MAX BASK IN QUEENSTOWN’S BEAUTY

Key takeaways

  • Personal planning and prioritising are critical in a transitional market.
  • Don’t just be good, be great.

The elite in the RE/MAX sales force experienced three days of professional stimulation this week with a stunning backdrop of Queenstown, New Zealand.

RE/MAX Australia invites its top performers to participate in a forum of shared knowledge and experiences each year.

RE/MAX Director Joel Davoren said the Platinum + Forum’s loose theme, ‘from good to great’ was derived from the Jim Collins’ business bestseller.

“It was such a defining book for businesses and has endured over more than two decades now. With RE/MAX Australia celebrating 25 years, it seemed a fitting theme; and that led to a program of powerhouse speakers, high achiever presentations and workshops.”

He said this year’s Forum cohort was the largest in the history of the events.

“This isn’t surprising when I consider the incredible results being achieved through the network.”

He said that the past 12 months had presented shifting dynamics with new faces in the network and existing agents developing and solidly growing their businesses.

“The quality of the business owners reflects that of the RE/MAX offer, which has never been better, and we are attracting top agents because our less ‘traditional’ model gives them flexibility, autonomy and collaborations.

“Less of the same, more of the new is our ongoing challenge as we constantly adapt to provide the best to attract the best,” he said.

Giving its top performers strategies to grow their own businesses, along with establishing platforms for ongoing interaction, underpinned the event program.

RE/MAX Australia invited one of New Zealand’s most in demand speakers, Sir Graham Henry, as one of two powerhouse speakers for the Forum. The other was highly awarded Ray White elite performer, Nick Lyus.

“Graham is one of the most successful rugby coaches of all time,” said Mr Davoren, “and he understands how to create and lead successful teams.

“Nick’s been a team leader in Ray White’s No.1 business internationally for the past seven years. He is an energetic and charismatic leader who has built a world class team around him in New Zealand. He is fiercely focused and on a path of consistent growth.

“We were very fortunate to have access to both these exceptional people; and from our own RE/MAX ranks, forming a panel, the equally exceptional Hayley Van De Ven, RE/MAX Bayside/Results; Brittany and Eiles Hunt, RE/MAX Revolution; and Ben Williams, RE/MAX Regency.”

The annual Platinum + Forum is provided exclusively for RE/MAX high achievers and is a ‘by invitation only’ event.

“Not all invited could make it but more than 70 were excited to dust off their passports and come to such a beautiful location.

“We well know the importance of ‘location’ but we also produced an event to remind our high achievers that it is always possible to improve and take their business to the next level,” said Mr Davoren.
