2024 marks ten years of partnership between RE/MAX Australia and Make-A-Wish Australia. However, the support which helps to make wishes come true for critically ill children across the country, goes back well beyond a decade.
At the annual RMX24 conference, held at RACV Royal Pines Resort on the Gold Coast last month, RE/MAX Australia’s Managing Director Joel Davoren acknowledged the fantastic work Make-A-Wish does in granting life-changing wishes for critically ill children and their families.
“This year, we’re celebrating a milestone ten years of partnership with Make-A-Wish Australia, a charity that gives back to the community and supports those in need,” said Mr Davoren. “Thank you to everyone who has contributed, through various events and fundraisers over the past decade.”
Since the partnership began, RE/MAX Australia has raised $368,000 for Make-A-Wish. Mr Davoren introduced Belinda Wallin, Group Head of People at Make-A-Wish Australia, who highlighted the impact of the RE/MAX network’s support over the past decade, sharing that the money raised has brought more hope, joy and inspiration to families at a time when they need it most. She encouraged delegates to “reflect on the lasting impact that your support has had not only on the children, their families and community, but also on the volunteers that support these wishes”.
Ms Wallin shared, “This mission critical partnership between RE/MAX and Make-A-Wish began well over ten years ago. Extraordinary partnerships like this will help us to bring more wishes to life for the 900 kids currently on their Wish Journey.”
RE/MAX Australia partnered with Make-A-Wish Australia as its official charity partner in 2014 and has helped to raise hundreds of thousands of dollars to support the charity in granting life-changing wishes for children with a critical illness.
