RE/MAX Australia awards go virtual

RE/MAX Australia is doing things a little differently this year, moving to a virtual platform to announce its top performers for the January to June 2020 period.

Coinciding with the RE/MAX Evolve II event, which brought together members and guests from Australia and New Zealand as well as speakers from across the globe in a virtual platform, the announcement of award winners finished the day on a high.

RE/MAX Results, Morningside was announced as RE/MAX Australia’s top performing office for gross commissions, with the team receiving a surprise visit from RE/MAX Australia Board Chairman, Michael Davoren, to present the award to broker owner, Hayley Van de Ven.

Robina’s RE/MAX Regency was named the top performing office for transaction sides, and Parramatta’s RE/MAX Xtra was the top property management office for both net and percentage growth.

Todd Gerhardt from RE/MAX Advantage, Wynnum, and Jenna Pollard from RE/MAX Vision, Junee, were the top individuals for commission earned and number of transactions respectively.

RE/MAX Bayside Properties Neilson Team and RE/MAX Master’s Simon Au Team were announced as the top two sales teams.

RE/MAX Australia Managing Director Joel Davoren commended the RE/MAX professionals on their determination, innovation and adaptability over the past months.

“Six months ago, no one could have predicted the way in which this year has played out,” he said. “RE/MAX has been quick to respond to the challenges our industry has faced and has continued to go from strength to strength.

“It has never been more important to adapt our business practices to continue to provide an outstanding real estate experience, and RE/MAX agents have acted swiftly to respond to consumers’ needs.”

RE/MAX Australia Finance Director Chris Chapman said that despite the challenges of the past few months, RE/MAX is still performing well with the top ten teams and offices on par with the same time last year, and the combined results of the top ten performers are up 30% on this time last year.

“The industry has gone through many changes over the past six months and RE/MAX has continued to evolve to support our network of brokers and agents, arming them with new tools and products to continue to perform well,” Mr Chapman said.

“We’re always moving forward and through the challenges, and there have been some amazing achievements throughout our network.”
