RE/MAX AUSTRALIA TURNS BLUE FOR WORLD WISH DAY

RE/MAX Australia professionals across the country will be donning blue in support of Make-A-Wish® Australia’s World Wish Day, this Monday, April 29.

For over a decade, RE/MAX Australia has been supporting Make-A-Wish Australia in its generosity in granting life-changing wishes for children with a critical illness and formalised a charity partnership in 2014. During that time RE/MAX Australia, through a wide variety of fundraising events and activities, has raised $380,000 which has helped toward granting wishes for wish kids all across the country.

RE/MAX Australia’s managing director Joel Davoren shared admiration for the work Make-A-Wish do within communities all over the country.

“Make-A-Wish® Australia does incredible work in granting wishes for critically ill children and RE/MAX Australia is proud to support the important work they do in making the lives of wish kids, their families and the communities in which they live a little brighter,” Mr Davoren said.

“We truly value the partnership between RE/MAX Australia and Make-A-Wish Australia and as a network will continue to support the inspiring work of Make-A-Wish.

“Our network will be wearing blue on Monday, April 29 in show of our support of World Wish Day.”

The very first wish was granted on 29 April 1980, with Make-A-Wish now spreading joy in over 50 countries, granting over 520,000 wishes world-wide. Here in Australia, Make-A-Wish has made a lasting impact on the lives of over 10,000 sick Aussie children since 1985.

In Western Australia last year, RE/MAX members were involved directly in granting the wish of young Aroha, creating an incredible Halloween party. RE/MAX Australia’s Simon Withers said that being involved in the wish itself was an incredible experience.

“Make-A-Wish Australia does incredible work in helping critically ill children’s wishes come true and what makes Aroha’s wish so special was her desire in creating an incredible fundraising event in which proceeds with directly help other critically ill children. Truly inspiring,” said Mr Withers.
