RE/MAX GET THEIR SPOOK ON FOR A VERY SPECIAL CAUSE

RE/MAX Australia has been proudly supporting Make-A-Wish® Australia for over ten years, and last week a group of enthusiastic RE/MAX members from Western Australia took part in a very special (and spooky) wish for a young girl named Aroha.

Aroha was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia when she was just six-years-old. Upon her diagnosis in 2016, she took it upon herself to sew and fill Christmas stockings for all the children on the ward. Fast-forward seven years, now 13, she’s still helping others. Her wish was simple: to host a spooky themed carnival and raise as much money as possible for Make-A-Wish Australia.

RE/MAX Australia’s Perth-based business growth manager Simon Withers said the opportunity to be involved directly in Aroha’s wish and to continue to support Make-A-Wish Australia was met with much excitement from members.

“Make-A-Wish Australia does incredible work in helping critically ill children’s wishes come true and what makes Aroha’s wish so special was her desire in creating an incredible fundraising event in which proceeds with directly help other critically ill children. Truly inspiring,” said Mr Withers.

Over twenty RE/MAX members and their families donned their spookiest attire on Saturday, November 4 for a Spooky Halloween Carnival held at Adventure World Perth.

It was real estate professionals turn clowns, witches, zombies and the like, and Joanne Adams of Cannington’s RE/MAX Southern Stars said the atmosphere was amazing with everyone getting in the spirit to create a fantastic atmosphere for Aroha.

“It was great and everyone really had a great time, but most importantly we were able to make the experience for Aroha and her friends and family, incredible,” said Ms Cannington.

“I’m a big believer in giving back and to be involved in Aroha’s wish was wonderful. She’s an incredible girl and seeing what she has been through and what she’s doing definitely makes you view life different.”
