The REMAX Extreme Team Demo has made its way to Bathurst, taking to the track in an AU Ford Falcon.
Earlier this month, the REMAX Extreme Team Demo sponsored and branded Falcon, driven by WA local Daniel Carrucan, raced for the first time at Mount Panorama during the Saloon Car Nationals Bathurst 2026.
“It’s not every day you get a chance to visit Bathurst and witness the car and driver you’ve sponsored for years compete on the track,” said the major sponsor Demo Foufas.
“It was just fantastic to be involved in making that happen.”
The REMAX agent has long been a fan of motorsport, having been involved in the WA racing community for many years. Several years ago, the opportunity to support a young local driver, Daniel Carrucan, led to a partnership that has since travelled thousands of kilometres to compete at the country’s most iconic circuit.
For Mr Foufas, coming on board as a sponsor had little to do with branding and more to do with supporting a sport he loved.
“It was honestly more about helping a local out rather than seeking exposure through sponsorship,” said Mr Foufas of his early connection with Carrucan.
“Daniel’s family are long-term clients and friends of ours; it is wonderful to be involved supporting Daniel and his racing.
“Several years ago, we had the opportunity to help sponsor Daniel. Back then, the financial contribution was fairly minimal, but over the years it’s become a real passion supporting the sport. Seeing what it gives back to the community and to be able to support Daniel in his career has been incredibly rewarding.”
Demo’s REMAX Extreme Team is now a major sponsor of Carrucan, with the car recently receiving updated livery. In a touching tribute to Mr Foufas’ son Sebastian, who sadly passed away last year, the car also features angel wings bearing his name.
“It’s a great sport and we’re out at the track whenever we get the opportunity to support Daniel,” said Mr Foufas. “But to see the car race at Bathurst, the famous Mount Panorama, that is really special.
“We love watching the racing, as did Sebastian, and it’s really nice to think that he’s out there watching over the drivers.”
