The Real Estate Institute of Australia (REIA) has announced the finalists for the National Awards for Excellence (NAFE), with Karissa Tigges of REMAX Success named a Business Development finalist and Mackay’s REMAX Select office shortlisted for Medium Residential Agency of the Year.
The National Awards for Excellence recognise and reward top-performing operational staff, agents, property managers and businesses across Australia’s commercial and residential real estate sectors.
Following the recent announcement that the Real Estate Institute of Queensland will rejoin the REIA from 1 July 2026, winners in corresponding categories from the REIQ Awards became eligible for national recognition at the upcoming NAFE awards in May.
Karissa Tigges, of Toowoomba’s REMAX Success, was named REIQ Business Development Manager of the Year at the 2025 REIQ Awards for Excellence. The awards were presented at a gala event in November 2025 at The Star Brisbane, where Mackay’s REMAX Select was also named the 2025 REIQ Medium Residential Agency of the Year.
The REIA National Awards for Excellence have celebrated success in the real estate industry since 2005. The 2026 awards mark the return of Queensland real estate agents and offices to the fold, following the state body rejoining the national body this year after an 11-year separation.
Winners of the 2026 REIA National Awards for Excellence will be announced at a gala event hosted by the Real Estate Institute of Victoria at Centrepiece at Melbourne Park on Thursday, 21 May 2026.
