Key takeaways

  • Make the waves, don’t just ride them
  • Take your business to next level

The elite in the RE/MAX sales force wound up three days of professional stimulation on Hamilton Island this week.

RE/MAX Australia invites its top performers to participate in a forum of shared knowledge and experiences each year.

The Platinum + Forum theme of ‘Make the waves, don’t just ride them’ led to a program of key speakers, high achiever presentations and workshops.

RE/MAX Director Joel Davoren said this year’s Forum was possibly the best yet.

“We are experiencing incredible real estate markets and sometimes things can even feel a little out of control,” he said, “but it is possible to take control and, with that in mind, our focus and our theme was making waves. Whilst riding the wave is fine, making the waves can be better.

“Most of our Platinum + agents are in red hot markets right now and are focussed on more than just riding its wave.”

“Giving our top performers strategies to grow their own businesses and setting up platforms for interaction underpins the event program.”

RE/MAX Australia invited eight-time world champion, Layne Beachley AO, as one of its key speakers.

“We were very fortunate to have Layne not only for her keynote session, but also to join us socially throughout the event. She definitely made the waves over the years and literally rode them as a pro surfer.

“Layne also formed a panel with our other key speaker, Alex Ouwens, who is one of the most exciting agents and business owners in the industry and runs an independent real estate office in South Australia, selling more than 1000 properties a year and with more than 1700 property managements,” he said.

The annual Platinum + Forum is provided exclusively for RE/MAX high achievers and is a ‘by invitation only’ event.

“While not all invited could make it to the Forum, the around 80 who did represent our best of the best, people who are serious about taking control of their own businesses, making waves in their market, succeeding and growing.

“We produced an event to remind our high achievers that it is always possible to improve, and to take their business to the next level,” said Mr Davoren, who also gave credit to the event’s Platinum Sponsor, realestate.com.au.
