OBSTACLES DON’T FAZE RE/MAX EXCELLENCE

RE/MAX Excellence proved it was as enthusiastic, agile and tenacious on the ground as in the real estate market when a team from the office faced Obstacle Hell Townsville recently.

With nine competitors and thirteen support crew, RE/MAX Excellence was a force to be reckoned with as they took on the action-packed, 5km+ military inspired obstacle course.

They encountered mud, water and more as they climbed, jumped, crawled, slid, slipped and gripped their way through the course with more than 35 different obstacles.

RE/MAX Excellence broker owner, Marion Grice, described the event as a superb team building event.

“It was fun but challenging – and a touch rugged to this observer,” laughed Marion, “but what I really appreciated was how RE/MAX Excellence continued to operate as a tight unit, having each other’s backs all the way. No one was ever left behind!”

There were more than 900 participants plus hordes of onlookers at the Tarmaroo Scout Camp Site in Bluewater on Saturday 3rd September, with teams setting off between 7.30am and 11.30am.

“It wasn’t a competitive event, so being the first to finish wasn’t their goal. Our team finished the course in two hours and had fun negotiating mud pools, rope climbing walls, tunnel crawls, monkey bars, tyre walls, cargo climbs and suchlike.

“With twenty-two of us, there was such a strong RE/MAX presence on the day! The organisers of the event thanked RE/MAX Excellence over the loudspeakers for their support and encouragement of all participants and promoted the ‘RE/MAX medal winning performances on and off the course’. Some of our support crew were even invited to hand out medals to the other Obstacle Hell Townsville participants as they crossed the finish line”.

The RE/MAX Excellence competitor team and support crew all wore customised t-shirts from Prime Print Pty Ltd, designed by Wendy Inverarity and Cassy Bodger, right down to one very excited two-year-old.

Marion says the team is all booked in for next year, and it already looks as though the numbers will swell based on how much fun was had this year!
