RE/MAX Genesis opens in Metung March 2022, a second office for business owners Daniel and Monja Schoeman.
The new office is located right on the waterfront, which the Schoemans say prompted the strategic move into the village they call home.
“We absolutely love living in Metung. We always intended opening an office here and grow our market share in this stunning location. When the opportunity arose to secure this high-profile space with the closure of another real estate business, we didn’t hesitate.”
Metung is known as a very special village located between Bancroft Bay and Lake King, which captures the essence of Gippsland with lakeside living and a year-round holiday vibe. It is both charming and upmarket, yet still manages to maintain the appeal of a quiet seaside town.

Daniel and Monja Schoeman opened RE/MAX Genesis at Lakes Entrance in December 2020 and they have enjoyed significant growth in business, market share and reputation since.
The East Gippsland community embraced the Schoeman’s approach to real estate as different to what they’d previously experienced. RE/MAX Genesis success is largely driven through word of mouth as the community has responded to a hugely relationships-driven, technology-driven team that is truly local but with all the benefits of an international brand and one of the greatest real estate names globally.
“Our team at Lakes Entrance has grown considerably and RE/MAX Genesis will grow further in all aspects – client base, agent numbers, business profitability, PM rent roll, etc,” said the Schoemans, whose goal is to establish a welcoming, full-service office in each of the major centres in the East Gippsland region.
