The just-released Real Estate Business (REB) Top 50 Agents Qld 2024 ranking includes three RE/MAX Success sales associates.
Jacqui Walker ranked #24, Melita Bell ranked #36 and James O’Donohue ranked #45.
The Toowoomba agents are well-recognised as among the highest performing agents in the RE/MAX Australia network.
RE/MAX Australia Managing Director Joel Davoren congratulated the sales associates saying, “These three sales professionals are producing some outstanding results for their clients and customers, and we are proud of their industry recognition.”
The annual state-based ranking and associated report, which notes that no two property markets are identical, highlights the top-performing Queensland agents who have achieved exceptional sales figures during the 2023 calendar year while setting the benchmark for excellence that other agents can aspire to.
Following the property boom in 2022, this year’s Top 50 Agents ranking data has indicated that conditions normalised in 2023. The top 50 agents collectively sold a total of 3,873 properties last year for $5.3 billion, compared to the 4,572 properties sold for $5.7 billion in 2022.
This mirrored CoreLogic figures that showed property prices growing by 10.5 per cent in regional Queensland and 15.9 per cent in Brisbane over the 12 months to 31 March 2024, the second highest among all Australian regional areas and capital cities.
Research suggests that while the property market has softened due to factors like interest rate hikes, mortgage stress, cost-of-living pressures and worsening housing affordability, high buyer demand and an undersupply of housing have continued to drive up housing values.
For the rankings, agents were asked to submit data from their settled residential sales for the 2023 calendar year.
The rankings were determined by using three key metrics, including the number of properties sold, the total dollar volume of properties sold, and the average sale value.
Each agent has been ranked comparatively across these metrics against their peers, with the combined comparative score used to determine the top-ranked Queensland agents.
“This year’s ranking was fiercely fought, thanks to the incredible work being done at agencies the state over to raise the bar on customer excellence, said REB editor Grace Ormsby said “and it is a pleasure to be able to recognise the hard work and commitment being shone by agents across the state.”
