It was blue skies, big smiles, and a healthy dose of competitiveness at the REMAX Charity Golf Day on Thursday, September 4, in support of Make-A-Wish Australia.
Over 60 attendees from across the network, along with industry partners and guests, teed off at the annual event, held this year at Nudgee Golf Course.
Fourteen teams hit the fairways, with REMAX Bayside-Results’ team of Dene Tucker, Dan Elliott, Ben Parr and Ben Sowman crowned overall winners of the day. REMAX Aspire’s team of Ryan Fisher, Seo Sangwon and Taylor Bills secured second place, while REMAX Property Shop’s Sydney Murphy, Vince Bold, Joel Furner and Luke Galvin rounded out the podium in third.
This year’s event saw a new twist with the introduction of the ‘Beat the Pro’ challenge, sponsored by Red Rubarb Gifts. Players up for the challenge tested their skills going head-to-head with a professional golfer at a designated hole, with REMAX First Residential’s David Moore earning ultimate bragging rights for the closest shot to the pin.
Special mentions went to Ben Sowman from REMAX Bayside-Results for the longest drive on Hole 15, and Ben Parr, also from REMAX Bayside-Results, who won the novelty hole, sponsored by Securexchange.
It was a fantastic day of friendly, competitive golf, with plenty of laughs and great community spirit, and over $2,000 raised for Make-A-Wish Australia.
